Welcome to our little corner of the web! I’m Amanda and my husband’s name is Sam, thus we have been named Samanda by many of our friends. I was born in North Carolina, raised in Texas. Sam was born in Pennsylvania, raised mostly in Texas. We met in college while attending Texas A&M University at Galveston and the rest was a gradual, awkward and wonderful love story that unfolded by the good grace and blessing of God, that I will save for a blog post one day!

My husband graduated with a Marine Biology degree from Texas A&M and is currently an Environmental Scientist with an environmental consulting company here in Austin, TX. He followed me up here when I transferred from Texas A&M to Concordia University to study Religious Education and Mission Outreach and the good Lord provided him a job! I on the other hand am still in pursuit of my fit in the career world. I graduated with a BA at Concordia University and recently earned my teaching certification for Grades K-6!

I decided to start this blog because I have always loved to write (as every other blogger says in their about me section, but it’s true!) and I wanted to start something that I can look back on years from now and have as a sort of memoir, and also to have something that I can feel a sense of accomplishment about! I enjoy a lot of the same things that most of you reading this probably enjoy: adventure, traveling, photography, food, love, etc. and I’ll be writing on topics such as these and honestly anything that might come up in the process of living life! I call this a “lifestyle blog” because it’s inspiration will be drawn directly from my life, things that happen, things I think, things I discover, etc. I’ve included my marriage and my husband in the name of my blog because he’s my other half and he’ll be one of the main characters in my posts, so that was a no brainer! I hope you enjoy my blog. Thanks for stopping by!
